Grouping mentions is super valuable and has a number of applications. Groups classify mentions according to categories that you establish. This, however, depends on how and why you practice social media monitoring.
Here are a few different ways that you can group your mentions:
— Group mentions by positive feedback
— Group mentions by negative feedback
— Group mentions by feedback from brand ambassadors and influencers
— Group mentions according to the sentiment filter
— Group mentions by the largest social media reach
— Group mentions from news sites
— Group mentions from review sites
— Group potential sales leads
— Group mentions by source
— Group customer questions
— Group mentions that you've already engaged
— Group mentions to be engaged
— Group mentions containing a particular keyword
— Group mentions by author
These are just a few ways you can use Groups. You can group mentions according to any other criteria — it all depends on your needs. Here's a video tutorial on how to create a group, step-by-step:
To group a mention, find the Group button along the bottom of that mention. You can use this button to add a mention to an existing Group. Here's a more in-depth guide to using Groups - including how to set up e-mail and mobile notifications for individual Groups.
