Instagram integration is not working

Your Instagram account is set as professional, and Facebook is connected, but Brand24 shows Instagram as N/A. What to do?

If you connected your Instagram account to Facebook but the integration in Brand24 still doesn’t work, don’t worry — it’s usually a simple setup issue.

Common Symptoms

  • Your Instagram account is set as professional, and Facebook is connected, but Brand24 shows Instagram as N/A.

  • You can add Instagram profiles for monitoring, but you cannot enable hashtag monitoring.

  • Facebook connection looks fine, but Instagram doesn’t work.

Why This Happens

Most often, the problem is that the Instagram account is linked only to your Facebook profile, not to your Facebook Page (Fanpage).

For Brand24 to access Instagram data (including hashtags), the Instagram account must be connected directly to a Facebook Page.

How to Fix It

Follow these steps to connect your accounts correctly:

  1. Check if your Instagram is linked to your Facebook Page (not just your profile).

    • Make sure you are on your Facebook Page and not personal account

    • Go to your Facebook Page settings.

    • Find the Permissions section in left menu and find Linked Accounts.

  2. Connect your Instagram professional account to the Page.

    • Select Instagram and log in with your professional account.

    • Once linked, it should show as connected to your Page.

3. Return to Brand24 and reconnect the Instagram integration if needed.
