As a brand, we understand that you consistently manage a range of responsibilities—from interacting with social mentions to unraveling intricate marketing data. Amidst this dynamic environment, monitoring your competitors' tactics can sometimes be overlooked. This is precisely where the enhanced Comparison Tab comes into play!

What's inside?

Here, you can find two different comparison options: project comparisons and period comparisons. Let's explore what each can do!

Project Comparison

Date Range

Easily compare different periods by choosing a range of Days, Weeks, or Months, or customize it to your liking.

Filters

You can pick and choose the specific things you want to compare. You can focus only on certain social media platforms or important indicators using filters. Plus, all the filter options you used to find in the Mention tab are now available in the Comparison tab!

Overview Table

See important numbers side by side quickly:

  • Total mentions

  • Social media mentions

  • Non-social media mentions

  • Positive mentions

Mentions Chart

The chart in the Comparison Tab shows how often different brands or projects are mentioned. This chart helps you understand which brands or projects are being talked about more on different platforms and times.

Reach Chart

For each project you compare, the reach chart (based on the audience size of the source) shows how much visibility and influence it has with its target audience. This helps you see which project is reaching more people.

Sentiment Charts

The sentiment charts in the Comparison Tab show whether discussions about different projects are positive, negative, or neutral. These charts visually show the overall mood and opinions related to each project.

Share of Voice

Share of Voice indicates how many mentions belong to each of the compared projects.

Categories Share Chart

The categories share chart visually presents where brand discussions happen across various communication channels for each compared brand or project. This chart highlights which communication channels are more important for different discussions.

Why is it helpful?

The comparison tab makes getting insights from the performance of different brands/hashtags/mentions easier. Here are a few use cases that you may find useful:

  • Performance Benchmarking: Compare multiple projects to assess the social media performance of different brands, products, or campaigns side by side.

Period Comparison

Period comparison allows you to analyze and contrast your brand's data over different time periods, providing valuable insights into your online presence and performance evolution.

Analyzing time periods with Brand24 is effortless, owing to its intuitive interface and robust analytical features.

  1. Navigate to the Comparison section.

  2. Select the timeframes you want to compare (daily, weekly, monthly, or custom).

  3. Brand24 will generate a summary of data trends for the selected periods.

Date Range

You can opt for specific time intervals for examination, such as days, weeks, months, or even years, depending on your requirements. This enables you to juxtapose data from different periods to assess changes.

Overview Table

This feature summarizes your brand or keyword performance over selected timeframes, providing key metrics like mentions, reach, and sentiment trends, giving a quick view of progress or decline.

Mentions

It shows how often your brand or keyword was mentioned and where, helping you track online discussions and their sources.

Reach

Reach estimates how many people saw your brand or keyword mentions and how often, helping you measure your online impact and outreach.

Sentiment

Sentiment analysis tracks whether mentions are positive, negative, or neutral and shows how sentiment changes over time. This helps you understand public opinion and respond effectively to shifts.

Categories share

This feature shows key topics in brand discussions, helping you tailor content, products, and marketing to audience interests.
