How to install Brand24 as an app
Want to keep Brand24 one tap away and get push notifications about important mentions? You can install the full Brand24 dashboard as an app on your phone or computer – directly from your browser.
It works on Android, iPhone/iPad, Windows, macOS, and ChromeOS. There’s no need to download anything from an app store.

How to install Brand24
Installation guide for:
Android Chrome / Android Samsung
Installation always starts in the browser on the device where you want to use the app. First, log in to your Brand24 account in the browser.
You may also see a “Brand24 in your pocket” message in the dashboard. If you do, simply click Show me how.
Android – Chrome
Open Brand24 in Chrome and log in.
Open the Chrome menu (⋮) and choose Install app or Add to Home screen.
Confirm the installation.
All done! Brand24 will appear on your Home Screen just like your other apps.
Android – Samsung Internet
Open Brand24 and log in.
Open the browser menu (⋮).
Select Add page to → Home screen.
Confirm.
iPhone / iPad – Safari
On iPhone and iPad, use Safari to install Brand24.
Open Brand24 in Safari and log in.
Tap Share – the square with an arrow.
Scroll down and select Add to Home Screen.
Tap Add.
From now on, open Brand24 using the new icon on your Home Screen.
💡 This step is especially important if you want push notifications. On iOS, push notifications require Brand24 to be installed on the Home Screen. You’ll need iOS 16.4 or later.
Windows / macOS / ChromeOS – Chrome or Edge
Open Brand24 in Chrome or Edge and log in.
Click the installation icon in the address bar.
Alternatively, open the browser menu (⋮) and choose Install Brand24.
Confirm the installation.
Brand24 will now have its own window and app icon. Depending on your operating system, you can also add it to your Dock, Start menu, or taskbar.
Using Safari on macOS?
Open Brand24 and select File → Add to Dock.

How to enable push notifications
Once the app is installed, you can set up push notifications for the mentions you care about.
Open Notifications in Brand24.
Find the Web Push notifications section.
Click Add Web Push notification.
When your browser asks for permission to send notifications, click Allow.
Choose the project you want to monitor.
Set up a filter if you want to receive only selected mentions.
Choose the notification frequency.
That’s it! Brand24 can now send notifications directly to that device.
For example, you could create an alert for negative mentions only, so a push notification means there’s something that may need your attention.
💡 The Notifications page will tell you whether push is currently enabled on your device.
Push notifications are set up separately on each device
This is important: push notifications are connected to a specific device and browser, not just to your Brand24 account.
For example, if you want notifications on both your phone and laptop, you need to enable them separately on both devices.
The upside? You decide exactly where you want Brand24 alerts to reach you.
What if notifications don't work?
First, check whether notifications are allowed for Brand24 in your browser and operating system.
If you previously blocked notifications, your browser may not ask for permission again. In this case, open the site's browser settings and change Notifications to Allow, then try again.
On iPhone and iPad, remember that you need to:
Use iOS 16.4 or later
Install Brand24 on your Home Screen using Safari
Open Brand24 from the installed Home Screen icon before enabling push notifications
Also check your device's Do Not Disturb, Focus, or notification settings — these can silence Brand24 notifications even when everything is configured correctly.
What should I use push notifications for?
You don't need a push notification for every mention. They work best for things where timing matters.
Try starting with:
Negative mentions of your brand – so your PR or communications team can spot potential issues early
High-priority mentions – to know when something important happens without constantly checking the dashboard
Important conversations and opportunities – so you can join them while they're still active
Competitor activity – when you want to keep an eye on important developments away from your desk
Start with one focused notification rather than sending everything to your phone. You can always add more later.
How to disable push notifications
Go back to Notifications → Web Push notifications and select Disable on this device.
💡 Logging out of Brand24 does not automatically disable push notifications. If you're using a shared device, disable notifications before you stop using it.
Why use this instead of the Brand24 mobile app from the App Store or Google Play?
You may already know the native Brand24 mobile apps available in the App Store and Google Play.
The installable web app described in this article is different – and gives you access to a much broader Brand24 experience. Instead of being a separate, simplified mobile product, it gives you the same Brand24 dashboard you use in your browser.

A few things to remember
The installable version isn't downloaded from an app store. Install it directly from your browser.
An internet connection is required. The Brand24 app doesn't support offline mode.
Push notifications are configured per device. Set them up separately on every phone or computer where you want to receive alerts.
Removing the app or clearing your browser data may remove your push subscription. If that happens, enable push again.
iOS requires Home Screen installation for push notifications.
System notification settings can override Brand24 settings. For example, Do Not Disturb or Focus mode may silence an alert.
