What is a Brand Assistant?

Brand Assistant is your project analysis expert, simplifying and supercharging your media monitoring. It uses advanced language models to turn your natural language questions into data-driven answers, with visualizations when needed.

As of April 2026 AI Brand Assistant delivers higher precision, supports inline charts, and and integrates real-time web search to give you the most complete competitive analysis possible.

Six ways to use AI Brand Assistant (and save hours of work)

Build a monthly board report in five minutes

Instead of exporting CSVs and building slide decks from scratch, just ask: “what happened in the project over the last month?” You’ll instantly get top-level stats, key events, and a ready-to-use summary. Just copy, paste, and you're done.

Prep for a last-minute client pitch

Imagine you have five minutes before a meeting and realize you're missing data on a competitor. Just paste a link to their website into the assistant and ask about their tone of voice or top authors. The tool will analyze the page and contextualize it with your existing project data.

Make sense of a sudden spike in mentions

If you log in to find an unexpected peak on your chart, don't panic. Ask: “what caused the peak on May 8?” The assistant will instantly isolate the triggering event, the primary source, and the top influencers driving the conversation.

Track your brand equity over time

Planning next quarter's strategy? Try asking: “compare our Q1 2026 results with Q1 2025.” The assistant will line up the stats side-by-side, highlight shifts in sentiment, and flag emerging topics.

Run instant competitor benchmarks

If you have separate projects set up for your competitors, benchmarking is completely automated. Type: “compare our results last quarter with CompetitorX” to get immediate, side-by-side performance metrics.

Get data-driven strategic recommendations

If you notice sentiment dropping on a specific channel, let the AI suggest your next move. Ask: “what should we do in response to the drop in positive mentions on LinkedIn?” and get actionable directions based purely on your recent data.

Where to find AI Brand Assistant

You can access the assistant from three different spots:

  • The AI Brand Assistant tab – the full conversation view, with a side panel showing your earlier chats.

  • The contextual widget in the Mentions, Analysis, Comparison, and AI Insights tabs suggests questions tailored to the view you're currently in. If it gets in the way, you can turn it off in your user settings.

  • The "Summarize with AI" in the Mentions tab runs an analysis on exactly the set of mentions you see after filtering. You decide what AI Brand Assistant analyzes.

Ask your first question

  1. Open the AI Brand Assistant tab in your dashboard.

  2. Type your question in the text field, in your own words. Or click one of the quick-start suggestions.

  3. Wait while the assistant works through your question and pulls the data it needs. You'll see progress on screen.

  4. Read the answer. If something's missing, follow up in the same window — the assistant remembers the context of your conversation.

  5. Use the "Copy answer" button to preserve formatting when you reuse the response in your own materials.

Tip: Ask in natural language. The more specifics you include (date, project, sentiment, source), the better the answer.

Where AI Brand Assistant gets its data

The assistant draws on two sources:

  • Your projects: Mentions, news, daily and aggregated stats, anomalies and key events, topics, hashtags, authors, sources, geographic data, word cloud, emotions and emojis, demographics, and AI Visibility data (if that feature is enabled).

  • The web: If your project is missing data, AI Brand Assistant will look it up online. You can also paste a link yourself and ask for an analysis of a specific page. This works for publicly accessible pages (no paywalls, no logins).

Tips for better answers

AI Brand Assistant doesn't need you to phrase questions in any special way. But a few habits sharpen the answers.

Specific questions beat general ones.

Compare:

❌ "How are things going?"

✅ "Did we have more positive mentions in October 2026 than in September?"

❌ "Tell me something about the competition."

✅ "Compare our social media reach with the Competitor X project over the last 30 days."

❌ "Who matters to us?"

✅ "Show me the five highest-reach authors who wrote about us positively in Q3."

❌ "Who are the important people for us?"

✅ "Who are the influencers for my brand over the last quarter?"

Drilling into a topic shortens follow-ups.

After the first answer you can keep it brief: "show me Poland only," "expand the LinkedIn point." The assistant remembers the conversation.

For competitor comparisons, name the project.

If you have several projects, the assistant will pick up on competitors automatically. Naming the project keeps the answer focused and rules out mix-ups.

FAQ

Is my data private and secure?

Your data in AI Brand Assistant is private and secure. The assistant works only with publicly available monitoring results from your account. We send data to OpenAI to generate the response, but it doesn't contain private information — the exception being anything confidential you type into the question itself. Results from your projects aren't visible to other Brand24 customers.

How is AI Brand Assistant different from ChatGPT?

AI Brand Assistant has access to data from your Brand24 projects. ChatGPT gives general answers based on the model's training. AI Brand Assistant layers on stats, mention content, comparisons over time, comparisons with competitor projects, anomalies, and topics. Questions about your brand get answers grounded in real monitoring data.

What languages can I ask questions in?

You can ask in any language the GPT model understands. You'll get the answer back in the same language you asked in. We've tested it in Polish, English, German, Spanish, and other widely used languages.

How far back does AI Brand Assistant pull data from?

As far back as your project's data goes. There's no fixed historical cutoff. If your project has been collecting mentions for two years, you can compare the current quarter with the same quarter two years ago.

How many questions can I ask per day?

By default, up to 100 queries per account per day. Trial accounts are capped at 4 questions for the entire trial period.

Plans and availability

AI Brand Assistant is available on the Pro, Business, and Enterprise plans. Trial accounts get four questions.
